Intrahepatic Cholangio Carcinoma in a Married Couple

Abstract
Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is another primary hepatic tumor arising from intrahepatic bile ducts. Its etiologic factors include clonorchiasis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, intrahepatic stones and anabolic steroid. Because of its obscure symptoms especially in case of peripheral mass forming type, most of the ICC are unresectable at the time of diagnosis due to advanced disease. In order to increase the resectability and curability of this disease, suspicion of the ICC in patient who has the risk factors described above with vague right upper quadrant abdominal pain and weight loss is essential. We experienced mass forming peripheral type ICC
in both 57 years-old husband and wife who married 35 years ago. Certain type of familial life style or food pattern should be thought as a risk factor.
